Our Campaign

co-chairs

We believe everyone needs a strong and trustworthy lifeline in times of crisis.

For over 115 years, Family Services has been that lifeline for many individuals and families in our community, but we must look to our shared future if we are to continue this legacy. We are inspired to be action-minded and called to help address complex, changing needs.

The One Step Closer Campaign represents our commitment to this vision.

To help our neighbors in need, we have dedicated ourselves to building a new Domestic Violence Shelter for Forsyth County; ensuring that individuals and families find safety and hope while also reclaiming their sense of self-worth.

We hope for a day when the need for this safe-haven doesn’t exist, but we aren’t there yet. That’s why we invite you to join us in our commitment to safety and compassion and our resolve to build a healthier community for all in Forsyth County.

Thank you to our friends and supporters for your generosity that will bring
domestic abuse victims in our community One Step Closer to hope and healing. We are proud to serve as your Campaign Chairs.

Together, let’s make hope One Step Closer.

With gratitude,

Danna Wortman and Tom Adams
Campaign Co-Chairs

We are a community capable of extraordinary impact – and it will take the commitment of every one of us to meet the challenges of this moment as we look to build a new emergency domestic violence shelter for Family Services.

Our One Step Closer campaign theme reminds us why we are involved in this cause. We are helping children, individuals, and families take steps toward safety, healing, and hope.

Replacing a 94-year-old building with an intentional, trauma-informed design requires a vision that will grow and meet the changing needs of our community. We are committed to helping our neighbors in need by building an expanded, safer building, but we can’t do this alone.

We are proud to support Family Services in this initiative and ask you to take the next step with us. By supporting this important cause, we hope you’ll pick up the torch and pass it along to others. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier community.

We can’t wait for you to join us on this journey.

Thank you,

Stan and Liz Kelly
